As an Infrastructure Administrator At Ranpak you will be part of an international organization. You are responsible for the implementation and support of the entire global infrastructure. In addition, you will collaborate on major projects, such as setting up and deploying a completely new infrastructure for a new factory currently being built in Malaysia.

You will be working in the Infrastructure and System Administration department. You will be jointly responsible for the global infrastructure with a colleague from the Netherlands and another colleague from America. You will report to the Infrastructure and System Administration Manager.


Ranpak is in search of an innovative and motivated Infrastructure Administrator to join the System and Infrastructure team. As an Infrastructure Administrator, you will collaborate on projects worldwide. This includes setting up the entire infrastructure in a new factory in Malaysia, establishing firewalls for a location in Singapore, or expanding servers in Finland In this role, you will manage the following tasks:

  • Installs, configures, and maintains Windows servers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Coordinates network connectivity, implements monitoring and backups, and ensures security of both the server and software;
  • Administers Nutanix and VMware ESX infrastructures, ensuring the health of hosts and VMs. Monitors systems for resource bottlenecks and maintains management servers. Ensures regular backups and creates, configures, and monitors VMs on both platforms;
  • Administers, supports, and monitors MSAD and AAD. Manages user accounts, security groups, and devices. Implements domain group policies for organizational standards and software configurations. Assists with Intune systems, configurations, deployments, and security support;
  • Manages and supports enterprise storage infrastructure, including performance and capacity monitoring, security management, snapshots, and volume cloning. Participates in storage projects, from planning to system upgrades. Creates, secures, and maintains shared folders using MSAD security groups.
  • Supports configuration management software and services for security patching, software deployments, and workstation imaging. Monitors software update deployment groups and assists with patch analysis. Builds application deployment packages and scripts for deployment (Intune).
  • Perform various infrastructure administrative tasks to include router/firewall monitoring, switch management, IOS management, firmware upgrades, configuration, deployment, and implementation of network systems;
  • Escalates support tickets to external vendors for infrastructure systems and serves as the primary point of contact until resolution. Assists and operates in crises involving complex hardware or software issues, ensuring timely resolution.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer discipline or at least five years experience working in a computer support/data center environment;
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or any other language;
  • possesses Windows Server certifications;
  • Knows how tot express oneself effectively in both written and spoken English.


  • A salary of up to €5140 based on knowledge and experience;
  • 25 vacation days and 7.5 additional days off (ADV);
  • Working in an international organization where you will also work on locations outside the Netherlands;
